Importing Inventory
Three ways to get vehicles into MP Poster: CSV/Excel files, dealer DMS exports, or direct URL scraping.
Method 1 — CSV / Excel Upload
Most common path. Export your inventory from any system as CSV or Excel, then drag-drop into MP Poster.
- Click Inventory → Import → Upload File.
- Drag your CSV/XLSX file into the drop zone.
- MP Poster auto-detects columns: year, make, model, price, mileage, VIN, etc.
- Review the preview. Adjust column mapping if needed.
- Click Import. Vehicles appear in your inventory.
Required Columns
yearorYearmakemodelprice(numbers only, no $ signs)
Optional Columns (Auto-Detected)
mileage,odometer,milescolor,exterior_colorvinbody_type,body(Sedan, SUV, Truck, etc.)transmission(Automatic, Manual)fuel_type,fuel(Gas, Diesel, Hybrid, Electric)description,notesimages(comma-separated URLs or local paths)
Method 2 — DMS Feed URL
Pro and Agency plans support direct feed pulls. Most DMS systems expose a public inventory URL or CSV feed.
- Click Inventory → Import → From URL.
- Paste your feed URL (e.g.
https://yourdms.com/feed/dealer123.csv). - Click Fetch.
- MP Poster downloads and parses the feed. Same column detection as file upload.
Method 3 — Manual Entry
Adding a single vehicle? Inventory → + Add Vehicle → fill the form. Photos uploaded via drag-drop.
Managing Inventory
Edit
Click any vehicle row. Edit fields, swap photos, update price. Save.
Status
Each vehicle has a status: available (default), sold, pending. Sold vehicles skipped automatically when posting.
Bulk Delete
Filter by status, select all, click Delete. Or Delete All from settings to wipe inventory clean.
Photos
Each vehicle supports up to 10 photos. Photos are stored locally — they don't get uploaded to Facebook until you actually post. Recommended: 1200×800 pixels minimum, JPEG or PNG.
From CSV
If your CSV has an images column with URLs (one per line, or comma-separated), MP Poster auto-downloads them on import.
Manual Upload
Click a vehicle → Manage Photos → drag-drop image files. Reorder by dragging. First photo = main listing photo on Facebook.
